Templeton Recreation is proud to partner with EcoSLO and their pilot program Adopt a Spot, to keep Templeton free of litter and debris. This is a monthly clean-up effort where residents can adopt a specific location to focus their efforts. Participants have access to materials to aid in the clean-up process as well as online apps and documents to assist in tracking specific items that have been removed from the area. For more information or to sign up for a location, please contact Melissa Johnson, Recreation Supervisor.
Templeton Recreation also hosts an annual Community Clean-Up program where volunteers remove trash from local waterways before the rains come and flush it all the way to the ocean. This event is held in September and in conjunction with the Creeks To Coast program operated by EcoSLO.
