Templeton youth participate in soccer beginning late summer and fall, basketball during the winter months, and girls softball and youth t-ball in the spring. Youth may also participate in soccer and basketball camps. Additionally, girl’s softball conducts a statewide tournament each year. Programs are designed to encourage the participation of area youth. Every effort is made to equalize team strength through drafts; thus allowing all players to develop basic skills and gain emotional maturity by participating in league play.

All players are given the "Players' Code of Ethics" compiled by Templeton Recreation and National Alliance for Youth Sports. Teams are coached by coaches chosen by the Recreation supervisor. The coaches agree to follow the "Coaches' Code of Ethics"
