Templeton Fire & Emergency Services has a Cadet Program which provides the opportunity for high school students to receive first-hand experience in the fire service. Cadets are issued the same gear and personal protective equipment that fire personnel have. Cadets are working on a volunteer basis and are allowed to "ride-along" on the fire engine as their schedule permits. Cadets learn, train, and assist fire personnel throughout the day and on emergency incidents under the direct supervision of the on-duty Fire Captain. If you are interested in becoming a cadet, contact the fire station or come in to fill out an interest form.
